First...and Last?...Summer Trip

Phil has been doing a lot of overnight trips to Grand Rapids so Aubrey and I thought we'd tag along this week. The baby is due to arrive in just two short weeks so we thought it may be our last trip for the summer...we'll see. When we talk about the baby, Aubrey says, "Mommy, my brothersister not here yet." She's ready for the baby to come home...so is mommy, but I'm not sure about daddy.
Aubrey and I spent the morning at the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. She had a blast playing and is still napping now. Check out the pictures above!

Aubrey's 1st Salon Haircut

Aubrey broke out the serious face for her first haircut at Moda. She sat still for a long time but looked very concerned about what Steven was doing the whole time. She was also unsure about the blow dryer. Nancy was very good at entertaining Aubrey though, and Aubrey loved all the suckers she gave her! She got about an inch cut off in the back...it looks great!

Fun at the Circus

Aubrey loves animals so it was no surprise she enjoyed the circus. Before the circus started she rode a pony twice and even rode an elephant! Her jaw dropped when a group of white horses ran out to get the circus started. She had fun watching all of the acts, but her favorite was a family of poodles. Aubrey stood in the front row jumping up and down and clapping. She was impressed :) Aubrey probably could have stayed until 10 o'clock, but mommy was tired so we left at intermission.

ELMO!

We took Aubrey to the Fox Theatre to see Elmo and Friends. She loved seeing "Melmo" up close but lost interest at intermission. She was more interested in exploring the Fox Theatre than sitting in her seat. Because she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger, we also went home with a giant Elmo head balloon :)

Aubrey's Big News

Aubrey is having a baby sister! She is due to arrive July 9th. Aubrey is so good with her baby dolls; we think she will be a great big sister!

Christmas Morning

We thought Aubrey would be so excited to see the presents under the tree on Christmas morning. Apparently Phil and I were more excited. Phil set her down in front of the tree, and she just started crying that she wanted milk! Oh well, maybe next year!
